Heichal Menachem works with children, teens, adults, IDF soldiers, and hospital patients in Rishon L’Zion to increase connection to Jewish heritage and strengthen belonging to the Jewish people.
We work “on the ground” in elementary schools, high schools, and preschools to inspire Jewish identity and understanding in as many youngsters as possible.
We also run a weekly after-school program with programming on Jewish values and culture: respect and love for your fellow, reaching out to those in need, Jewish holidays, etc.
Finally, we have a targeted, inspirationalprogram for pre-teens as they approach the Bar-Mitzvah/coming of age period in their lives.
We bring Jewish culture to hundreds of adults and teens throughout the year.
That includes lectures and courses throughout the year, and guidance for individuals and families during life cycle events.
We cultivate healthy marriages through pre-marital counseling and advice.
We are also there for families during times of mourning, offering comfort and emotional support.
We bring Jewish heritage and celebration year-round to soldiers on IDF bases.
Many of the soldiers have had little previous contact with Jewish heritage.
We introduce connection to Jewish heritage holiday programs that celebrate Jewish identity, nationhood, and joy.
We bring Jewish holiday celebrations to our local hospital.
Our celebrations bring the joy of the “outside world” to individuals who are ill and hospitalized.
They bring feelings of belonging and community, of meaning and hope.
We reach out to families facing financial crisis with weekly food staples (more than 100 families a month), guidance and advice.
Our support helps families to recover from crisis and reclaim their independence.
Heichal Menachem is the primary organization that works on a large scale to strengthen Jewish identity in Rishon L’Zion.
Our activities are comparable to Jewish heritage programs that run nationwide.
We are also the only organization to offer regular Jewish programming in the city at no charge.
Though we work with thousands, we can still reach more.
In particular, we seek to increase adult participation in our programs.
However, in order to increase programming, we must have a larger space to offer lectures and workshops.
A new building will also help us meet our goal of working with more children on a regular basis and of creating new, more
diverse community programs.

The Heichal Menachem Chabad Comunity
& Jewish Culture Center
The Chabad Comunity & Jewish Culture Center is a non-profit Jewish cultural organization in Rishon L’Zion.
We are passionate about Jewish identity and our work as a thriving Jewish center in central Israel.
Our objective for 2015 is to build a permanent Jewish community center so that we can better serve constituents, develop new and creative programming, and increase the number of participants.
The Need for Increased Jewish Culture in Rishon L’Zion.
Much of Rishon L’Zion’s population is disconnected with Jewish heritage.
Jewish identity is at a low and children are raised with little knowledge of Jewish culture.
We chose Rishon L’Zion, not only because of its need for Jewish education, but also because there are no other programs like ours in the area.
The new Chabad Comunity & Jewish Culture Center which it's external structure is already built, is 5 stories tall and around 2500 square meters, and will include a Sephardi and Ashkenazi synagogues; a Mikveh (Ritual Bath); and rooms for kindness and charity activities in the community.
Now, as we approach intensive progress towards the next level of the Chabad house construction, we are calling upon all our dear friends around the world to come to our aid, and we ask for your generosity to become partners in this special and important project.
It is with no doubt to us that your generous contribution to this project will be for your merit and privilege as you become an associate and partner to the great deeds of the Lubavitcher Rebbe -the leader of Chabad movment. which this project is been build upon his legacy and inspiration to help the Jewish people; materially and spiritually around the globe.
The cost of the new Chabad house project is approximately 13 1\2 Million Shekels.

We are Unique
Organizational Needs
Our major goal is to build a Chabad Comunity & Jewish Culture Center that will serve all of Rishon L’Zion’s residents with cultural programs that introduce and reinforce Jewish heritage.
The center will allow us strengthen Jewish identity on an even large scale.
The project’s objective is to build a 1,800 square-meter, five-story building that will include both Sephardic and Ashkenazi synagogues (to unite Jewish groups in the city), lecture halls, an invested mikveh (Jewish ritual bath) for both men and women, and a social outreach center that will distribute food and clothing.
Finally, the building will house alternating, interactive and hands-on exhibits on Jewish themes and culture.
Construction is advancing in full force.
We began construction in 2013 and expect to inaugurate the building by the end of 2018. At present, we are working on construction of the basement.
We already have 55% of funding in hand through private donations and support from the Rishon L’Zion municipality. The construction budget is as follows:
A tax-deductible grant of 4,000,000 NIS will allow us to complete the building and to commemorate the building in someone's name.
